Hello, My name is Jerrell Conner and "The Revelations" has been my passion-project for over 20 years. This series will document how it all began, the challenges / opposition / tragedies I've had to face while creating it, and how I've had to re-imagine the writing, and the artwork over the years, as well as some of the amazing artists that I've been blessed to collaborate with through the process and how God has opened amazing doors for it all along the way.
Buckle up and get ready to join me on this inspirational journey!
Here's how I FINALLY got back to the project after a extended-period of a FORCED hiatus.
Any writers, researchers, or "bookish" folk out there? In this episode I break down my writing process; from brainstorming, and copious research and study, to learning to write a manuscript and work with a foreign editor. Needless to say, this book series has been a lengthy process of learning!
Art for art's sake? NOPE!
My background is in illustration and Communication Arts and this project has FULLY stretched me in every visual way of creating and designing. Over the course of two decades I document how the art on this project has evolved, and how in 2018 it took a MAJOR left turn and the surprising results that came from it.
Over the course of 20 years you tend to run into some eclectic groups of people. Of course, the creative community would be no different. I have had the pleasure of Collaborating with some AMAZING ARTISTS along the way, some have stayed onboard for years. This episode celebrates them!
Pursuing your dreams is more than a notion. When you do it you'll find that you come up against A LOT of opposition, and even attacks at times. So I've learned to lean on God through these storms... but also I've learned to learn from my own mistakes (some times slowly).
As we wrap up this series, I reflect on how far we have come, and excitedly look ahead to the future of this project and others.
