First off let us assure you that NO this isn't who most of you think it is. So don't get all excited, or offended. This poster series was done around the 08' election. The idea behind it, obviously was to tap into that famous piece that Shepard Fairy did, but there's a bit more history behind it than that.

The artist was ALREADY doing a poster series for LOTAN (the character in the poster and the main villain from the book series) from a few years back. The whole scheme of the series was to use the whole "propagandistic" approach used for the cover of book 2. Since the Lotan character is a political figure in the book once Shepard did his thing it just made a lot of sense and was too good to pass up on.
